There will be no indoor Robson Valley Fall Fair in 2007.

Instead the Fair Committe is joining in the McBride 75th Anniversary Celebrations and hosting Family Fun in the Village Ball Diamond on Sunday, August 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Fair’s events for family and children will be staged for everyone to enjoy.

Jennifer L’Arrivee has been invited to demonstrate the abilities of her sheep dogs at 10 a.m. The motorized lawn mower races are scheduled for 11 a.m., the Pet Show from 12 to 12:30 p.m. and the Pedal Tractor races for kiddies at 12 p.m.

The McBride and District Volunteer Firefighters will have their very popular Dunk Tank set up in the Ball Diamond. The 4H Rabbit Club, the Farmer For a Day photo op and the Small Animal Show will be on display between Main Street and the bleachers and the Honey Bee Display will be set up in the First Base area.

Residents are encouraged to submit their letters voting for the Cheryl Sansom Citizenship Award before July 31. The award is given yearly to a person who contributes to the life of the community. Past recipients have included Eleanor Johnson, Pete Amyoony, Jennifer Quam, Dr. and Mrs. Geoff Coburn and Mary Hooker. The award will be made at the Train Station immediately following the 1 p.m. presentation of the painting of Sir Richard McBride to the Village from Sir Richard’s descendents.
